Reference books for pre‐reading children? And why not? Children start to read by recognising familiar symbols, icons or groups of characters before they can appreciate the meaning of letters and their formation into words; these two titles take that approach and develop it into pre‐school and pre‐reading books for early learning children aged 3‐6.
