Biographical Dictionary of Psychology

For a discipline which emerged only some 150 years ago, psychology has played a fundamental role in human and intellectual development (not that the two are necessarily separate), as well as in many, if not most, other fields of study. Some of its practitioners’ names ‐ Freud, Jung, Pavlov, Piaget, for example ‐ have become household names. But many more theorists and practitioners (or both) have contributed to the discipline and more than 500 have been selected here for the significance of their contributions.
