Here is yet another of the biblio‐biographical studies for which Scarecrow has become well‐known. The compiler is an assistant professor of English at Gordon College in Barnesville, Georgia, and as well as having published several articles on Mark Twain and other contemporary American writers, he is the author of Mark Twain and William James: Crafting a Free Self, in which he explored Twain’s religious and philosophical backgrounds.
