Encyclopedia of Ancient Deities

As recently as review 2000/228 our reviewer gave a most enthusiastic endorsement of this new encyclopaedia; that edition was published in the USA by McFarland with, as usual, distribution in the UK by Shelwing Ltd; in a very short time we now have another seemingly identical version from Fitzroy Dearborn. Without knowing the commercial details separating (or uniting) the two versions we simply note the appearance of this alternative version with the same layout and pagination; we have, in fact, now been informed by Fitzroy Dearborn that they have the distribution rights in the UK for this title.
