This excellent reference work is intended to provide English‐speaking readers of German literature with a comprehensive and up‐to‐date introduction to both the established canon of German writing from early to late, and important contributions made by women writers, as well as Jewish, Turkish (including Gastarbeiter) and other ethnic traditions.
