The Evolution Wars: A Guide to the Debates

I was slightly taken aback by the series title here. Living, as I do, in an evolution‐based society, unless I am reminded by occasional news snippets from the American Middle West I forget that evolution is still one of the “Controversies in Science.” I half expected them to have a companion volume on the Flat‐Earth Controversy ‐ for and against. Creationism is, of course, a perfectly valid system in its own terms. These terms are, however, non‐scientific.
