This is a much updated version of the 1991 Baseball Quotations; The Wisdom and Wisecracks of Players, Managers, Owners, Umpires, Announcers, Writers and Fans on the Great American Pastime. It features most of the best lines that the sport has to offer. At least we know what we are getting here and would expect an American bias ‐ unlike the sister book Sports Quotations reviewed separately. The author is a sports (baseball) writer for, amongst others, USA Today, Baseball Weekly and Sports Collectors Digest and an avid fan of the game.
