This Web site, although rather morbid in some aspects, is a unique resource that provides a wealth of information that may be useful for those within the aviation industry, the media and the public in general. Air Safety Online’s crashDATABASE.com is a database of aviation accidents and crashes. The search engine allows the user to find details including accident records of approximately 1,500 civil aviation disasters during the period 1970 through to 2001. The database includes only crashes that resulted in more than ten fatalities.
