Developed by Australian Warwick Bone as a gateway to specialized language resources, Glossarist.com is self‐described as “a searchable directory of glossaries and topical dictionaries.” The site developed from Bone’s desire to provide centralized access to word lists for specialized topics and industries. For those uncertain of the distinction between dictionaries and glossaries, the site’s FAQ aptly notes that the latter tackle the language of particular subjects while general dictionaries are broad examinations of terms and phrases within a language. Many printed works, especially those concerned with technical topics, will provide a glossary as an appendix.
