In cinema terms (and specifically in Shakespeare cinema terms) I grew up with Olivier – primarily his Hamlet but enlivened by a (pre‐television and pre‐video) re‐release too of Henry V. Interestingly, many years later my then young son caught the film on television and was so captivated by the famous Agincourt battle scene that he recorded the film to watch that section alone many times subsequently.
