Digital Library of Classic Protestant Texts

Ad Fontes is a Latin phrase used during the Reformation to mean “back to the sources.” This is the philosophy of the Digital Library of Classic Protestant Texts (CPT), which offers a treasury of theological writings from over 300 Protestant authors of the Reformation and post‐Reformation eras. The producer has pursued a uniform strategy of selecting historically important sixteenth‐ and seventeenth‐century editions, providing worldwide access to rare materials that would normally be kept behind closed doors. This creates an opportunity for scholars to create contemporary critical editions where none currently exist.
