An Annotated Bibliography (1982‐2002) of J.D. Salinger

J.D. Salinger is a recluse, who has shunned any publication of his writing since the mid‐1960s. This bibliography therefore consists entirely of secondary sources, mainly critical work, biographies and short journal articles about Salinger the author, the man or his art. Salinger’s most famous work, The Catcher in the Rye, continues to provoke a good deal of relevant and noteworthy criticism on a global scale, as proved by this bibliography.
