Memorable Canadians

The Memorable Canadians site is a project of the National Library of Canada (NLC), which features an index of biographies located only in the NLC’s Web site. These selected electronic‐only biographies focus on Canadians with influence in the areas of history and society, literature, music, and library and information science. Information on each individual is pulled from over 30 electronic resources, including general Web sites, collective biography sites and individuals’ Web sites; as an example, Gabrielle Roy, a well known French‐Canadian author, is included here.
