With the increasing cross‐disciplinary fields of genomics and preoteomics expanding this weighty, but reasonably priced, tome seems most timely. Following hard on the heels of the extremely well received first edition it has been significantly updated and expanded to cover the field of preotemics in much greater depth. The lively preface outlines the need which this book hopes to satisfy – the daunting professional challenge of staying current.
