The International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS) continues the comprehensive, international, interdisciplinary coverage of the Unesco bibliography, begun in 1951. Anthropology, economics, political science, and sociology are its primary fields, but related subjects such as accounting, agriculture, social policy, environmental issues, history, law, public administration, social work, and women's issues are also included. Editorial policy emphasizes the coverage of core journals in the disciplines, whether in English or other languages. IBSS includes books, but generally does not cover magazines, newspapers, reports, statistical reports, or information bulletins.
