This encyclopedia consists of two large hardback volumes covering a broad period of history and literary activity. One might expect a work dealing with the Romantic period to be rather limited, being primarily concerned perhaps with the English romantic poets Wordsworth and Coleridge and Byron, Shelley and Keats.
