These titles complete the chronological catalogue of Moore's drawings. The fourth volume is the largest in the set, featuring about 2,000 entries and accompanying illustrations. It covers 26 years, during which Moore's overwhelming preoccupation was his sculpture. However, he continued to find time to experiment with different media, often drawing with brush‐and‐ink or even with felt‐tip pens. He used tissue paper laid down on normal weight drawing paper and, for painting, blotting paper was used, taking randomly offset patches of watercolour as a starting point.
