Libraries and linguists are by no means short of choice for larger, more substantial French‐English dictionaries given the fine works produced by publishers such as Oxford University Press, Collins, Larousse and Harrap. New editions of such works are frequent but highly necessary given the ever‐changing words and jargon of modern society as well as the attempts to get ahead by the competitors in the bilingual French dictionary field.
