The Cambridge Encyclopedia of Child Development

I would take issue with the title of this excellent publication. An encyclopedia is arranged in reference order, usually alphabetical. This book is arranged in a logical subject order and therefore, in my humble opinion, is a handbook. There are already quite a number of encyclopedias relating to childhood and child development on the market. I would particularly note Ollendick and Schroeder (2003) and Kagan and Gall (1998).
