The Historical Dictionary of Revolutionary America is a companion volume to the author's Historical Dictionary of the American Revolution (Mays, 1999). While the latter title concentrates on the military aspects of the American War for Independence, the Historical Dictionary of Revolutionary America focuses more on the political, economic, and social issues the colonials faced between 1763 and 1789. Appendices list the signers of the Articles of Confederation, the attendees at the Constitutional Convention of 1787, the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and the presidents of Congress.
