Core Historical Literature of Agriculture (CHLA)

The Core Historical Literature of Agriculture (CHLA) is an online full‐text collection of agricultural books and journals published in the USA during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Titles in the collection were chosen by scholars for their “historical importance”. A print version of this literature is available in a seven volume series, Literature of the Agricultural Sciences, edited by Wallace C. Olsen, et al. and published by Cornell University Press between 1991 and 1996. CHLA continues to add resources to the collection on an intermittent basis.
