eHistory

The original eHistory web site was created by Scott Laidig, a History graduate of the Ohio State University (OSU) and retired Senior Vice‐President of a small, high tech computer firm, who wished to make available primary resources from the American Civil War. The web site began with the digitized and transcribed collection of forty letters written primarily by John Follett, a veteran of the Civil War. A significant addition to this early version of eHistory was the digitization of the Official Records of the War of the Rebellion, (140 volumes of materials each up to 1,000 pages long). eHistory...
