According to the preface, this sturdy and sober book aims to “take an audience of advanced undergraduates, postgraduates and researchers to the frontier of research in health economics, by providing short and readable introductions to key topics”. The book offers an overview of a wide range of health economics subjects. It is not for the novice reader: a good basic knowledge of economic principles is required to get the most out of the text.
