This is the second edition of a work that first appeared in 1997. Unlike the first edition, no authors or editors are credited with its compilation. The dictionary contains 6,000 words and expressions related to the information management professions. The list of words is followed by ten supplements listing various resources and providing basic information on such varied topics as classification systems, cataloguing rules, the ten laws of information literacy, copyright and lists of useful websites and organizations. The publisher claims it is ideal for students and those already working in the industry.
