There is a brief entry on social class in this dictionary, but, perhaps, not as much of a discussion as the subject warrants. The editors' own institutional accreditations really sum up the problem of status. James Watson lectures on a BA in Media Studies offered by the University of Greenwich in partnership with a local college in Tonbridge, while Anne Hill lectures in Communication Studies at Southampton Solent University.
