The Encyclopedia of American Race Riots

The Encyclopedia of American Race Riots from Greenwood Press is the most recent of five encyclopedias in the Greenwood Milestones in African American History series (a sixth was scheduled for Summer/Fall 2007). Essays in this two‐volume set are arranged alphabetically by topics about persons (e.g. W.E.B. DuBois; Stokely Carmichael), places (e.g. Chattanooga Riot of 1906; Cleveland Riots of 1966) or things (e.g. D.W. Griffith's Birth of a Nation; Police Brutality).
