FGDC Federal Geographic Data Committee: National Geospatial Data Clearinghouse

The FGDC Federal Geographic Data Committee: National Geospatial Data Clearinghouse is a collection of over 250 spatial data servers containing metadata primarily for use in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). It is a large web site with five distinct areas within FGDC: Alaska Geographic Data Committee (AGDC), NOAA Coastal Services Center (CSC), Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Eros Data Center (EDC), and ESRI, Inc. Most of these areas have language links for English or Spanish. The USA and International web sites are associated with the clearinghouse, but not all states or countries participate.
