The Columbia Guide to the Latin American Novel since 1945

The present volume joins the well‐established series of Columbia guides, which aim to provide useful introductions to their respective subjects. It joins other volumes in the post‐1945 literature series such as the literatures of Eastern Europe, American Indian literature, contemporary African American fiction and Central African literature (RR 2009/23). In keeping with other volumes in this series the main body of the work is a compilation of brief essays of some 600 words each, arranged alphabetically by names of individual authors, titles of their works, and subject themes.
