The Readers’ Advisory Guide to Genre Blends

The Readers’ Advisory Guide to Genre Blends, part of the ALA Readers’ Advisory Series, provides reading recommendations and suggestions for how to talk about crosses of seven genres: adrenaline, fantasy, historical fiction, horror, mystery, romance and science fiction. Each genre is the focus of its own chapter, which introduces the genre and its appeal to readers, then explores reasons why the genre might be blended with another.
