The Concise Encyclopedia of Statistics

This book has a long history. Work started in 1983 and it was first published in French in 1993 with an updated version in 2004 and a French student edition in 2007. This English translation derives from the earlier works. The aim has been to provide a short and concise encyclopaedia for those who do not wish to purchase any of the several large or multi‐volume encyclopaedias in the field. These more comprehensive works are listed in the introduction and include one by the author of this concise version.
