Perhaps the most notable point about the appearance of this title is made in the Introduction, starting with its own “perhaps”: “Perhaps the most significant feature of the existing gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) reference and bibliographical works is their intended audience – young persons. There is no reference work geared toward the adult GLBT reader” (p. 3). This substantively holds true for the USA and the UK, making this a significant tool for collection development in libraries on both sides of the Atlantic.
