American Sign Language (ASL) lends itself very well to the online environment using video, because words are visual, formed by hand shapes and movement. Video can provide a more accurate depiction of signs than simple “hand‐shape” graphics because it can incorporate movement and “body language”. There are numerous ASL tools available online, and a few of them, such as American Sign Language Browser (ASL Browser), are free.
