First published online in August 1999, Women Writers Online (WWO) offers access to over 320 fully searchable texts by pre‐Victorian women writers. Currently available site content dates from a 1526 translation by Margaret Roper of Erasmus' A Devout Treatise Upon the Pater Noster, to Nancy Prince's A Narrative of the Life and Travels of Mrs. Nancy Prince, published in 1850. The Women Writers Project, publisher of the text base, indicates intended coverage dates back to 1400, and works are regularly being added, with 14 new texts made available as recently as January 2010.
