CyclOpe 2009: World Commodity Yearbook: From Geyser to Mudhole

Don't be put off by the main title World Commodity Yearbook, it is the subtitle From Geyser to Mudhole that suggests this is more than a dry compendium of statistics often associated with commodities. Appearances are indeed deceptive. Put simply, this is the best title on commodities I have ever seen. Not that this is a particularly crowded publishing niche, but it's significant for the following reasons.

This title is unique (from an English point of view) in that it was originally written and published in French. A translation soon followed, which is what this review is based on....
