The New Interpreters' Dictionary of the Bible. Volume 4 Me‐R

The Interpreter's Bible series was a Biblical criticism series published in the 1950s. Each volume covered one or more books of the Old Testament, the New Testament or the Apocrypha. The volumes contained in‐depth introductions and commentaries, complemented by original translations, with full critical notes. A new edition, called New Interpreter's Bible appeared from 1994 onwards. However, the aims and objectives were revised and the New Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible (NIDB) began to appear in 2006. Publication in five volumes was completed in 2009, with the whole work available on CD‐ROM from February 2010.
