Hot on the heels of the Cambridge Companion (Grenby and Immel, 2009) (RR 2010/317) comes Routledge's contribution, though the two have produced quite different results. Some scholars have contributed to both books, including Rudd himself, though on different topics, and this book comprises two distinct halves – articles in the first and a substantial glossary of terms in the second. This glossary in many cases gives a mini‐article on aspects of theory relating to children's literature studies, and such terms are highlighted in the articles for easy further reference.
