Works by and about Jean Piaget (1896‐1980) abound and yet there appears to have been a slight lull in books published in English during the first decade of the twenty‐first century. Piaget was a prolific author having written 100 books and 600 papers most of which have been translated into English. The Cambridge Companion to Piaget is a scholarly publication aimed at brilliant undergraduates and research scholars, as evidenced by the editors' statement that the volume “highlights the theoretical or epistemological aspects of Piaget's works and elaborates the relations between empirical research and epistemological issues”.
