Aesthetics means perception by means of the senses, and draws on both the philosophy of art and on the ways in which we experience things (like a waterfall, sublime music, or the night sky). This suggests that aesthetic experiences involve judgements about beauty and truth and value, and asks us also to consider how things are expressed and represented and interpreted.
