Drawing from both personal experience and scholarly inquiry, Wayne Glausser has explored in detail the cultural impact of LSD and the psychedelic era on the UK and the United States during the mid to late 1960s. Over 400 entries examine the people, places, events, and effects of the drug‐infused cultural revolution. The people include both the expected, Albert Hofmann who was credited for discovering LSD, and the unexpected, Groucho Marx who was said to have taken LSD to prepare for his role as a gangster named God in the movie Skidoo.
