A total of 34 literary critical voices contribute to this addition to the Blackwell Companions to Literature and Culture series. Editors Amanda Anderson and Harry E. Shaw, in common with most of the other critics contributing to A Companion to George Eliot, have previously written engagingly on various aspects of Victorian literature and especially the novel.
