This is a new edition of a title in the very good Oxford Paperback Reference series. The original version was published in 2007 and was edited by Chris Park. The new edition is edited by Michael Allaby. The original version had about 9,000 definitions and the new edition has over 700 additional entries, so the total is now almost 10,000. The new entries particularly include chemicals, especially pesticides, bio-geographical and ecological terms and atmospheric science terms. The chemical terms add to the completeness of the book.
