Authors working on the second edition of the Historical Dictionary of Ukraine, published in 2013, could not have predicted how contemporary events would highlight its relevance. I find that researchers and newcomers to the field of Ukrainian studies in 2014 now demand it, as the most up-to-date and available volume of reference.
