Accessed and reviewed here via the website Springer Link, the Encyclopaedia of Global Archaeology is a fully comprehensive work, running to 11 volumes in its print edition, with an international and interdisciplinary focus. Sections within the work come from contributors from the whole scope of archaeological study including areas such as anthropology and marine archaeology. What makes this work stand out as being different from other encyclopaedias is not only its range and coverage, but also its use of multimedia and linking that allows users to swap quickly between articles, follow-up references and move between relevant materials.
