The Oxford Companion to Archaeology (2nd edition)

The Oxford Companion to Archaeology second edition is published both in print as a two volume set and online through Oxford Reference, as here reviewed. The first edition, edited by Brian M. Fagan, was published in print in 1996 and became available online in 2004. This updated online edition, as well as having a new editor, now contains almost 800 entries in comparison with the 700 of the first edition. As well as adding further material the second edition also updates the original entries. This further establishes it as a standard reference work in its field among scholars and students....
