Now in its third edition, the Historical Dictionary of Thailand, published by Scarecrow Press, seeks to “inform and explain” with its entries on history, economics, politics, society and culture. This new version, authored by Gerald W. Fry, Gayla S. Nieminen and Harold E. Smith, contains updated statistics and new entries for persons, institutions, events and other matters of relevancy (Foreword p. x).
