World Directory of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples

The World Directory of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples (http://minorityrights.org/directory/) is an online directory of both minorities and indigenous peoples around. It covers all aspects of minorities and indigenous peoples, their rights and their historical, political and geographic context. The Directory grew out of the Minority Rights Group’s encyclopedic World Directory of Minorities. This seminal work was first published in 1990 and updated and expanded in 1997. Since then, the encyclopedia has been restructured into a database format as well as updated and expanded. The full text of the database is available free of charge.
