The latest handbook from Oxford comes in three parts: a series of chronological chapters, a section based on regions and tribes and finally eleven thematic essays. These essays cover topics such as sexuality, population, religion, art and a piece on the Native American economies, Indians in the Marketplace. Each chapter is written by a different author, and eight of them appear to be members of the Indian nations themselves.
