Encyclopedia of Estuaries

This book is part of the Springer Encyclopedia of Earth Sciences series several titles of which I have also reviewed (e.g. Encyclopedia of Scientific Dating Methods (RR 2016/195); Encyclopedia of Natural Hazards (RR 2014/064)). The content of each is, of course, different, but they also vary in how widely and how deeply they cover the topic. This volume takes a very broad interest in the topic.

Although the preface mentions all the major commercial activities that go on in estuaries, they are not covered except as they impact on the estuaries. Sand mining is the only industrial process...
