Readers may be interested to know that the Australian National Dictionary Centre was established in 1988. It conducts research into Australian English and provides lexicographical expertise to Oxford University Press, Australia.

Australian English is a fascinating topic. The editor of this second edition of the Australian National Dictionary (AND) is Bruce Moore who is the author of several books on Australian lexicography including What’s Their Story?
