Research guide to Gothic literature in English

This new research guide on the Gothic, arguably the most fluid and contested of critical fields, seeks to “help researchers who are beginning in-depth projects in literature and culture” (authors’ introduction, p. xi). Attempting to read and digest the book cover to cover at one sitting, as it must be for review, militates rather against the authors’ explicit intention that this should be a dipped into and easily browsable resource.
